Kunming Gucheng, or the Old City of Kunming, located next to Yunnan Nationalities Village, is comprised of 18 classically decorated, self-contained business complexes covering an area of about 50  acres and an operating area of over 20,000 square meters. Unlike the ethnic minority villages in the scenic area, the Old City of Kunming showcases the old architectural styles of the city during the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as the marketplace culture of old Kunming. It not only provides business premises, but also is an important distribution center for nearby residents and Kunming citizens to carry out business activities, enjoy leisure and entertainment, and experience shopping and ethnic customs. It will also become a popular tourist destination. The launch of this new project is not only a specific initiative to build quality spring city tourism brands, but also one of the important means to upgrade business mode and expand services of Yunnan Nationalities Village.
